All teachers in need of a new Moodle course area are kindly asked to use the new request form at http://ok.helsinki.fi/moodle-en/howto/request-course-area/. The course areas are usually created within a day of the request, and an email will be sent to the teacher once the course area is ready.

After the Moodle upgrade in June 2012 submissions folders no longer work. If you need the contents of the folders after 15th June, you will have to convert the folders to a format understood by the new Moodle version. The user synchronization between the UH wiki and Moodle course areas will no longer work after the Moodle upgrade in June. All links to wiki spaces in Moodle course areas will continue to work, but new users enrolling in the Moodle course area have to be added to the wiki space manually (see the Confluence documentation). The Moodle server will be updated on 19th July between 10.00–12.00 and not available to users during that time period.
Moodle was updated today to version 1.9.11. The most notable improvement for users is the added support for the Chrome browser. Moodle's text editor now functions normally with Chrome.
